I immediately cut out milk products the next day and resumed eating food free of beef, pork or milk. I havent had an issue since. I went to an allergist about 4 5 years ago and he did the standard skin pricks on my back with negative results. He also sent me to have blood drawn for a beef allergy test, also negative. Im assuming that the blood test given did not check for alpha gal and looked for some other Ig. E as there is also a beef allergy, according to what I have read. I lived in north Florida almost all of my life and have been bitten by ticks occasionally and chiggers repeatedly. I used to get chigger bites often when camping while I was a Boy Scout. The problem was, my chigger bites would always take 6 1. Many trips to the doctor for this as a young boy. In the last several years, I have been bitten by ticks at least a few times per summer. After developing some sort of tick borne illness last year, my primary doc just told me to come in and get on antibiotics just in case.
